Last week Helene did her things. Photos on social media and the news of her destruction are still coming in. Unfortunately a large portion of our bees were in her path.
It looks like the bees are almost a total loss. 
The loss is like losing a loved one. All the emotions like fear, anger, depression, etc are hitting me different times of the day. For those asking to help that don’t buy honey, I have added a donate button on the Love of Honey web page.
Friends have been floating the swamps and rivers but very little equipment has been found. Thats a total of 600 large bee boxes, 6,000 frames, 300 lids and other equipment. All gone. And of course, all the bees. Anger, depression, anxiety and sadness come and go every day.
I am pulling honey out of reserve and bottling it now to get some cash flow going. Recovery will be difficult as I have never been a large operation with big equipment.
